Eastbound lanes of Highway 401 near Lancaster have been closed after a tractor trailer rolled over at about 7:54 a.m. today. Traffic is being detoured off Highway 401 at Lancaster (mile marker 814). Commuters are being rerouted east on the Emergency Detour Route (EDR) on County Road 2 and merging back onto Highway 401 at Curry Hill. (mile marker 825). Current information is that the driver has sustained minor injuries only and clean-up crews are en route to the crash scene, reports the Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police detachment.

Highway 401 eastbound will remain closed for an undetermined period of time. OPP is asking motorists to avoid the area if at all possible to facilitate the safe and steady movement of traffic.
