A full weekend of fun and memories will be on the agenda during V.C.I. Celebration 2010. Remember the old and celebrate the new Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute July 1, 2 and 3, at the high school, 5814 Highway 34, Vankleek Hill. A committee comprised of parents and teachers is organizing the activities in order to say adieu to the old building, which dates back to 1954, and to toast the construction of the new facilities. An inevitable threat against the Earth’s food supply, resulting in international chaos, is imminent if a massive global reduction in carbon emissions doesn’t take place in the next half century.

That was the message from noted international affairs columnist Gwynne Dyer as he painted a bleak picture of the Earth’s geopolitical future at Aultsville Theatre.
